JAKARTA (Dow Jones)--Thermal coal producer PT Bumi Resources' (BUMI.JK) 2010
net profit could exceed $280 million, an increase of at least 47% from the
$190 million it recorded at the end of 2009, an official at Bakrie Group,
which controls the company, said Monday.
"The increase in net profit (in 2010) was mostly due to the higher average
selling price of its coal and higher sales volume in the fourth quarter of
2010," the official, who declined to be named, told Dow Jones Newswires.
He said Bumi is scheduled to announce its audited 2010 earnings by the end
of March.
