DOW JONES NEWSWIRESJAKARTA (Dow Jones)--PT Bank Mandiri's (BMRI.JK) net profit rose 89% to IDR3.78 trillion in the first quarter from IDR2.00 trillion a year earlier because of an increase in net interest income and other income, a senior official at the bank told reporters Friday.
Net interest income at the nation's largest bank by assets rose to IDR4.96 trillion from IDR4.3 trillion a year earlier, Bank Mandiri Finance Director Pahala Mansyuri said.
